There is a powerful story in 2nd Chronicles, when King Jehoshaphat heard he was going to be attacked. He knew he was outnumbered so he prayed to God about what to do. Scripture states “This is what the Lord says: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast number, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.'” The king gathered his people and he “appointed some to sing for the Lord and some to praise the splendor of His holiness.” They “went out front of the armed forces and kept singing.”
Did you catch that? The king sent a choir in front of the army as the first line of defense. The first line of defense God told them to use was worship and “praise the splendor of his holiness.” Do you see how powerful a group of people worshiping together can be?
The worship ministry includes volunteers playing instruments, singing on the worship team along with the adult choir. The band and worship team rehearsals every Thursday to prepare for leading worship on Sunday. The adult choir is open to anyone and everyone who would likes to sing or wants to learn. The choir rehearses Sunday afternoons from 2-4pm.
