Church membership is just a simple way to say that this is your church home and you want to be a part of what God is doing here at First Christian Church. There are no dues, fees, or anything like that.
Join the Starting Point Class to learn more about membership, baptism, and more about FCCJ.
Church membership simply means that you want to be apart of what God is doing at FCCJ. There are no fees or dues, just a dedication that you want this to be your church home where you attend, worship, give, serve to help make our community come to know Jesus.
Church membership is simply a way to say that you are dedicated to what God is doing at First Christian Church Jonesboro. It is saying that you want to make FCCJ your church home. A place where you want to attend, worship, grow, serve, and ultimately fulfill the great commission, which is to “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20.
At the end of every worship service, we invite those who need prayer, want to place their membership, or are interested in baptism to meet with a minister or elder during the last two songs of the service. This place is typically in the foyer or in Room 101. Here you can ask the questions you have with someone who can answer them and then we will walk in the front of the church to publicly introduce you and say you want to join what God is doing here.
If you have more questions or interested in membership, baptism, or anything about FCCJ, we encourage you to attend Starting Point. It is a one-time, 90 minute session that answers all your questions.
Not at all! We are not a gym or a country club. We are group of believers who want to do what God as called us to do. That is to worship, grow, serve, and tell others about Jesus. While we believe that if you are a follower of Jesus, we encourage you to follow the spiritual discipline of tithing but we don’t require you pay a yearly due or fee or anything.
